With the near-miss of Hurricane Florence on Maryland, ESSR's Office of Research Safety is releasing Emergency Preparedness for Laboratories.
I am so pleased to be returning to the University of Maryland as the Executive Director of Environmental Safety, Sustainability & Risk (ESSR.) This is a wonderfully exciting time for the University with record research funding, the addition of new campus facilities, a continuing increase in student enrollment, and membership in the Big Ten (Go Terps!), among many other initiatives and accomplishments. The very capable staff of ESSR are here to provide the University with excellent support and services in line with our vision of a campus where safety and sustainability are core values.
