Lab Safety Awareness Week

The University of Maryland is joining campuses across the country in celebrating Lab Safety Awareness Week (February 10th-14th). We hope that all researchers will take this opportunity to engage with both their safety successes and challenges over the course of this week. ESSR is proud to be a part of your research experience and we will be sponsoring a number of new and exciting events this year. 

Laboratory Safety Culture Spotlight Award

ESSR would like to shine a spotlight on researchers who are leaving a lasting, positive impact on the safety culture in their laboratories.

Safety Stand-Down and Self-Inspection Raffle

We are encouraging all laboratories to pause regular activities for the day and focus on safety in their research areas.  All laboratories who conduct a Self-Inspection in SciShield on Tuesday (2/11) will be entered for a raffle prize drawing at the Lab Safety Week Safety Celebration.
