With the days getting hotter, we must use the right controls for preventing heat-related illnesses such as heat rash, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. ESSR has researched information from OSHA, MOSH, CDC, and other sources to develop direction on Heat Safety in the Workplace. The program, checklist, apps and posters are the means by which we can understand how to prevent heat-related illnesses and injuries each day. By assessing the risks, acclimating employees to work in hot environments, considering the effects of personal protective equipment impacts and providing for hydration, rest and shade, we can stay safe and healthy at the end of a hot workday.
