Asbestos Management Planners
The individuals at the University of Maryland, responsible for performing hazard evaluations and recommending appropriate response to conditions of damage. Specific duties include:
- Completes and maintains Building inspector accreditation,
- Completes 16-hour EPA-accredited training course (4-hour annual retraining) provided by an accredited training provider,
- Conducts hazard assessments by interpreting asbestos inspection reports and determines necessary response actions,
- Evaluates and selects asbestos control options,
- Maintains hazard assessment and corrective response records, and
- Develops an operations and maintenance plan.
