Public Notifications

In accordance with our MS4 permit (13-SF-5501), the permittee (UMD) must comply with all State and Federal public notice requirements for any regulated activity associated with this general permit. This page allows the public access to the University's spill reports, illicit discharge detection elimination investigations, and the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) inspections.

Please save the date for the Fall Smart Cities Roundtable on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 10-11:30 by zoom.

An agenda will be sent one week prior; one presentation will be an update on the IoT Stormwater pilot project by Marccus Hendricks from the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Tammy Clegg and Beth Bonsignore from the College of Information Studies, and Jen Cotting from the Environmental Finance Center who will provide:

  • an update on the campus IOT project,
  • a report on the August 26, 2021 stormwater community engagement brainstorming meeting,
  • the results from the Sustainable Maryland Route One Green Team Convening (9/22) on stormwater/flooding that details hotspots, potential policies to address; and other information.
